Conditions: Packed all 25k with ski area grooming equipment followed by
snowmobile/ginzu groomers X 2. Best I've seen! We are all set up!
All the pieces came onto the chessboard today. After digging out and
getting equipment staged Eric drove one of the smaller Buena Vista
groomers out to blade out the drifts and smash flat all 25k. I was all
smiles as we blew through the course without getting stuck. After some
careful trimming and a fuel stop, Mike and I headed out again as temps
began to drop and the sun set. Velvet corduroy slipped off the back of
our Ginzu grooomers effortlessly so we ran through the entire course
twice. I can't wait to ski this beautiful trail!
Grooming plans: Classic track to go in overnight Thursday or whenever
the 1-2" fresh arrives. A couple warm up days with cold nights
should speed up and firm up this base. Cold nights single digits to
below zero. Race day expected temps in the teens. Make it your year to
ski the mighty Minn Finn, don't miss it!
